Warmi means woman in Quechua, the most widely spoken of the many indigenous Peruvian languages.

Pots and textiles in Peru have very ancient roots. Following successful development as a textile sculptress with several exhibitions – both individual and collective – I continue to work with textiles. My inspiration comes largely from Andean iconography and culture. But I try to achieve a fusion of Andean and British influences.

More recently my love & respect for –and increasing knowledge of – British culture (of 40 years experience) allows me to mix the influences derived from both my beloved countries.

My ceramic and textile pieces (sculptures) embody ideas of motherhood, strength, continuity, memory and justice.
