I have lived in Malaysia for 20 years and have been very affected by the strong colours there, especially the many greens. Since that time I have enjoyed working with colour particularly the blues and my work always reflects this.

In the 1980’s I studied the City and Guilds Course in Embroidery and Design followed by a Teacher’s Training Course and more recently the Diploma in Stitched Textiles.

I now live in Winchester where I teach embroidery, run the Winchester Cathedral Guild of Broderers and pursue my own work. I enjoy working on canvas and extending the boundaries of that technique, colour still being an important factor in my designs. Experimenting with new techniques is important to me, there are so many different ways of stitching that I do not concentrate on any single technique, I enjoy them all.

I have exhibited with different Groups locally, Nationally and Internationally.
