My textile study has spanned several stages from a City and Guilds Embroidery Course through to a degree in Art and Design.  It has enabled me to specialise in ways of folding fabrics using origami techniques, combined with stitch.

From a few basic folds come endless permutations of 3D patchwork.  When worked in monochrome, the finished pieces look like bass relief sculpture.  Double sided coloured squares give a completely different effect.  I have used these origami based techniques to make a wide range of items from large wall hangings to bags and boxes.

I lecture and run workshops throughout the UK and abroad.
